Expressive. intuitive. hopeful.

Jane Thompson is an award-winning artist based in Australia who has captivated audiences both nationally and overseas.

Working predominantly in acrylics, wax pastels, oil sticks and graphite, Jane enjoys creating with fast drying materials as they enable her to capture the energy and freedom in the spontaneous moment.

Jane paints to express the feeling of an experience and place. An estimation of what it is to be human, her artwork focuses broadly on the hopes we have in the familiar, the ones we have for the unknown
and more recently the influence of social and natural environments on our identity and well-being.

THE STUDIO

The studio, at The Grange Bowls Club, which was originally the groundskeepers shed is located to the side of the main building behind the blue roller door. There is a café onsite with coffee and light refreshments, amenities including change rooms and the premises are fully licensed.

The studio is intended to be an interactive and engaging experience, in which the public will have the opportunity to speak to Jand about her practice and maybe even see her in action. You will also be able to view Jane’s latest artworks available for purchase.

You will love the peaceful and green surrounds of this beautiful studio location. Come and meet your friends and family for coffee, or a tipple, and enjoy this wonderful art-filled space that Jane is excited to share with you.
